FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW HIGH IS THE GRASS FABRIC MATERIAL?
The battle mat is approximately 0.15 inches high and is ideally suited for 25mm models and higher. You can always shave the mat down using electric pet trimmers or fabric scissors to accommodate smaller scales or a different look, if desired.
CAN I CUSTOMIZE THE BATTLE MAT?
You sure can! Using electric pet trimmers you can easily shave in permanent roads, fields etc.
WHAT IS THE WEIGHT OF THE BATTLE MAT?
The battle mat is quite light weighing in around 2.8lbs. Its very portable and can easily be folded up just like a blanket. It will not wrinkle up when unfolded because of its thickness.
DOES THE BATTLE MAT HAVE AN ODOR?
No, there are no odors. We actually mill dye our battlemats to achieve the realistic battle tones. We do not use aerosol sprays or paint applications to make our mats. These can leave the mat with toxic smells as well harden the material making it difficult to play on.
CAN THE MATS BE COMBINED FOR LARGER BATTLES?
Yes! The battle mats layer up side by side quite seamlessly. They can be layered over top each other to create large convention style battles and it looks like one large mat. This is possible because we dye our mats to an exact formula so the mats are all identical in tones.
DO INDIVIDUAL MODELS STAND OKAY ON THE MATERIAL?
Yes, individual models for the most part will have no issues at all on the battle mat. The material is extremely soft and flattens easily when a model is placed on it. Any lopsided models such as dragon or standard bearer mat have slight issues. A quick fix for this is to apply a small coin or washer to the underbelly to the model's base to give is a little more weight.
